The following terms and conditions apply to the monthly prize draw. The prize draw is open to all members of Emerald Engage excluding (a) anyone connected in a professional capacity with the prize draw and that person’s immediate family members, and (b) employees and contractors of Emerald Publishing Limited and its affiliates. Entrants must be aged 18 years or older.
Entry implies acceptance of these terms and conditions, and any amendments to them, which are final and binding in all respects. Emerald Publishing Limited reserves the right to disqualify any entrant from the prize draw if, in its sole judgement, the entrant has not complied with these terms and conditions, has tampered with the operation of the scheme, or has engaged in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Emerald Publishing Limited, the Competition, or any other entrant.
Entry to the prize draw is limited to one per person per competition period. One entrant will be randomly selected at the end of each month and they will be informed they have won a prize.
The prize carries no cash value and may not be transferred or substituted, except that Emerald Publishing Limited may, at its sole discretion, substitute any Prize won with a prize of equal or greater value. Any unclaimed Prize remains the property of Emerald Publishing Limited.
Emerald Publishing Limited will select the prize winner for each Prize Draw Period using a random number generator. The winners will be notified (i) by email using the contact details provided on the entry form within seven (7) days of the end of the relevant Competition Period (“Email Notification”) and/or (ii) earlier by way of public announcement (including via a social media). The Prize will be delivered by post to the address provided during email correspondence between the winner and Emerald Publishing Limited. The winner will have fourteen (14) days from receipt of the Email Notification to respond to Emerald Publishing Limited and confirm acceptance of the prize.
If a selected winner (or any substitute winner) is ineligible, cannot be reached, or fails to claim their Prize within fourteen (14) days of receiving the Notification, that winner (or substitute winner) will forfeit the Prize and it will be awarded to a substitute winner. If, having attempted to contact a winner and a substitute winner, Emerald Publishing Limited is unable to award a prize, Emerald Publishing Limited reserves the right to consider the Prize unclaimed.
This process is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Non winners will not be notified. The name of the winner and their county of residence will be provided on receipt of a written request sent email@example.com 30 days of the end of the relevant Competition Period.
By accepting a prize, entrants consent to the use of their name, job title, organisation and county of residence for promotional and other reasonable purposes without further payment, except where prohibited by law. A winner may be required to participate in Emerald Publishing Limited’s reasonable marketing and promotional activities. By entering the Competition, you consent to participate in such activities in the event that you are a winner.
In consideration of Emerald inviting you to join and participate in the community on this website (both parties agree that such consideration shall be deemed sufficient), you hereby grant to Emerald an exclusive, worldwide, perpetual and irrevocable licence to use any ideas or contributions arising in the community discussions on the website, that you are the copyright owner of, in all forms and all media (whether now known, or hereafter developed) for the full term of copyright and all extensions and renewals thereof.
Emerald reserves the right to block your access to the website in the event that you do not comply with these terms.
